Make no mistake, this is no run-of-the-mill apron.

The soft, durable, 100% cotton fabric is produced on a 100 year-old handloom in my partner's hometown of Kannur, India. To achieve a natural feel, no starch is added to the yarn at the weaving stage.

The classic bib style apron is as practical as it is good looking. Includes two large pockets below the waist for cooking utensils, cell phone and secret recipes. If you prefer an apron without pockets, you’re in luck.

Features a blue ticking stripe embellishment. Two small pockets near the top hold pens and pencils. Neck strap is fully adjustable. Waist strap is long enough to tie in back or front.

Aprons are unisex. Models are wearing the Classic Bib apron size. Durable, stamped steel hardware.

Each apron comes tied in custom Reluctant Trading printed cloth tape. Ideal for gift giving.

100% cotton. 200 thread count. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Durable and incredibly affordable. We are now supplying these to top restaurant chefs around the country.

Nick (cool guy in the photos) is 5'8" tall. He is wearing our Standard Size apron.

Grey’s anatomy

Okay, “biggest” fear was straps required rear tying because I’m close to 220 lbs, but no problem tying my charcoal beauty in front. Phew.
Now on to practical apron considerations. It’s well constructed, the pockets are useful, the fabric substantial, the little ticking embellishment tastefully handled, and it happily reminds me of favorite NYC steak house waiter garb from forty years ago. I love this long half apron!

Best decision I ever made in buying an apron

I am a professional chef and have been for over forty years. I have gone through many different types of aprons, from the basics that get delivered to the kitchen every week from a linen service to high profile boutique aprons. I tried reluctant threads just like I tried others, but this was a very different outcome. Not only was the price very attractive so was the product and the quality. I think I have found a new company to do business with. Just give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

As a professional chef for 45 years, I am highly impressed with the apron. I've tried them all, Reluctant Threads is superior in every way.
