SHIPPING

Things definitely take a bit longer during the holiday season, so we want you to know what to expect.

  • If your order is/was placed Wed 11/27 to Sun 12/1 - it will ship during the week of December 2. 

We pack and ship orders in the order in which they are received. However, orders placed with expedited shipping (FedEx 2Day and FedEx Overnight) will be prioritized and ship the following business day since they take a day for processing.

We’ll send you tracking info as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. Thanks for your patience and understanding. We are a small company and don't own any robots. We are doing our best to get your stuff out as soon as possible!

Outside of the holidays, and once things cool down, we regularly ship within 1-2 business days (M to F) after receiving your order.

Standard Delivery takes about 3 - 8 days. Please allow for delays due to weather in the winter. You will have the ability to elect to pay for a faster service at checkout. 

You will receive an order confirmation email, a shipping confirmation email with tracking number, and an email when your delivery has been made.

We use US Postal Service, UPS, and FedEx. 

Please keep in mind that expedited delivery promises are from the day of shipment (please allow us a day for processing during non-holiday closings) and are calculated using business days.

You will receive tracking info once your order ships from our warehouse.

Our warehouse is located in Toledo, Ohio, in case you were wondering. We are unable to offer in-person pickup. 

  • Standard shipping times are about 3-8 days once our warehouse ships your package.
  • You should have received an email with tracking info.
  • You can follow your package’s progress using the link in the email.

WHY ISN'T MY TRACKING SHOWING MOVEMENT?

While we are used to seeing quick scans by carriers showing rapid movement of packages, sometimes carriers miss scans or they don't show up in online tracking properly. It’s not unusual for a package to sit at one facility for several days before it moves to the next location.

Sometimes packages successfully deliver without a single scan in their system across all carriers (UPS, FedEx, and USPS). We do ship the day we send the shipping confirmation email so know your package is en route even if tracking shows waiting for the package.

While we are watching all packages closely, feel free to contact us if you are concerned. We’ll do our best to help.

MY ORDER SHOWS DELIVERED, BUT IT'S MIA. WHAT'S UP? 

If your tracking shows “delivered” but you don’t have your package, there could be a few different reasons.

It’s not uncommon for USPS to scan packages as “delivered” when totes or trucks are loaded the day before. Many packages marked “delivered,” show up within a day or two.

Another reason for missing package might be because someone else in your house brought in the package without you realizing it. We see this happen from time to time.

Also, for security reasons, delivery drivers occasionally put boxes where they cannot easily be seen from the street. Sometimes the drivers do such a good job hiding the package, it gets missed by the recipient too.

Please check around your porch, sides of the house, behind a hedge, behind the garage, or other places a carrier may have put the package. You should also check with your neighbors to see if they received your package by mistake. That happens, too.

If you are still missing your package, please contact us to start an investigation.

Most of the time, packages are recovered by the carrier and delivered within a few days.

Cost of shipping is calculated per order, per address. Standard delivery services. Expedited shipping services are also available during checkout.

Please keep in mind that expedited delivery promises are from the day of shipment (please allow a business day for processing) and delivery times are calculated using business days.

Example 1: If you purchase on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday with overnight shipping, your order will not ship until Monday (as long as Monday is not a holiday) and you should receive Tuesday (as long as Tuesday is not a holiday).  

Example 2: If you purchase on Thursday with overnight shipping, your order will not ship until Friday (as long as Friday is not a holiday) and you should receive Monday (as long as Monday is not a holiday).  

Example 3: If you purchase on a Tuesday with overnight shipping, your order will not ship until Wednesday (as long as Wednesday is not a holiday) and you should receive Thursday (as long as Thursday is not a holiday).  

Also, please note that expedited shipments do not deliver on the weekends, so those days are not counted. If you need it quickly, you can always contact us to understand the timing. 

The easiest way to ship aprons to addresses outside the USA is through our Etsy Shop.

If you have a large apron order that you'd like to ship to Canada or overseas, we are happy to work with you to figure it out.

  • The shipping address
  • Number of aprons, exact styles, quantities, etc.
  • Timing you'd like the aprons to arrive

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

We accept returns:

  • Within 45 days of receipt
  • Apron(s) must be unwashed
  • Apron(s) must be unworn
  • You are responsible for returning the apron to us using the carrier of your choice

  • Within 45 days of receipt of the original purchase

  • We will supply a pre-paid shipping label for you to ship back your apron(s)

CARE TIPS

  • Wash with like colors in cold water.
  • Delicate cycle is best.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Avoid fabric softeners, they can leave waxy residues.

HOW TO REMOVE TOUGH STAINS

  • Pretreat any heavily soiled or stained areas by soaking the apron in cold water for several hours or overnight. This should help loosen caked-on food, sauces, etc.
  • Do not let stains set in, it makes them harder to remove
  • Do Not Bleach - it will ruin the cotton fibers of the apron and lead to stains and holes

The best way to dry your apron is on Low Heat or the Air Dry setting on your dryer. 

Avoid leaving your apron in a hot dryer with a full load to the end of the cycle, it will definitely come out wrinkled. High heat can cause excessive shrinking.

During the first few wash and dry cycles, our 100% cotton aprons will shrink a little bit. During this time, as the cotton fibers move, there will be more wrinkling. This will settle down in time. 

HOW TO MINIMIZE WRINKLING

We feature mostly 100% cotton aprons. We think 100% cotton fabric is fantastic because it's breathable, durable, sturdy, and softens over time.

During the first few trips through the washer and dryer, the threads will move a little bit as the aprons will shrink about an inch or so. Wrinkling will happen during this period, especially if you leave the apron in the dryer for a full cycle with a load of clothes. 

However, you can really minimize the wrinkling with any of these tips - without having to iron.

TIP #1 - Dry with a damp washcloth for 10 - 15 minutes
Put your apron in the dryer with a clean, damp washcloth. Nothing else. Run the dryer on high for 10-15 minutes. Remove your apron, smooth with your hands, and lay flat to finish drying. This is easy and works well.

TIP #2 - Avoid Over-Drying your apron - Dry on Low or Air Dry setting
Over-drying cotton can lead to set-in wrinkles and shrinkage. By removing the apron from the dryer while slightly damp, you'll find it easier to manage any wrinkles by hand. Best to use the Low or Air Dry setting. High heat will cause the most wrinkling and shrinkage.

TIP #3 - Smooth damp apron with hands on a flat surface.
Remove your apron from the dryer while still damp. Flatten on a table and stretch the fabric with your hands and work out the wrinkles. Dry flat or line dry.

TIP #4 - Roll instead of Fold
When storing, roll the apron instead of folding it. This can reduce crease lines and save space in storage areas.

 

Spraying and Rolling Apron


TIP #5 - Spray with a DIY Wrinkle Releaser
Make a homemade wrinkle releaser by mixing one part white vinegar with three parts water in a spray bottle. Lightly mist the apron and gently smooth the fabric with your hands. The vinegar smell will dissipate as it dries.

TIP #6 - Leverage Shower Steam
Hang the apron in the bathroom while taking a hot shower. The steam from the shower can help relax wrinkles without any additional work.

TIP #7 - If you Really Want to Iron...
If you want, you can touch up wrinkles with an iron on low. But we recommend trying the other steps first. BTW, we think a few wrinkles add to the beauty and character of an all-cotton apron.

CUSTOM ORDERS - EMBROIDERY, COLORS, ETC.

We sure do. Our aprons look fantastic with embroidery. We've completed all sorts of jobs for everyone from small restaurants to large wineries.

Minimum quantity is 40 aprons of the same style.

  • Embroidery takes about 3 - 4 weeks from time of cleared payment to your door for in-stock aprons.
  • Orders are non-refundable and non-returnable due to the custom nature of embroidery.
  • Payment is due in full prior to project start.
